Sarah Rafferty received an MFA from The Yale School of Drama after graduating magna cum laude from Hamilton College with a double major in English and Theatre.

She starred as the iconic Donna Paulson on the hit show SUITS for 9 seasons. She is currently starring on the Netflix hit series MY LIFE WITH THE WALTER BOYS. Sarah recently starred on NBC’s medical drama Chicago Med as Dr. Pamela Blake and recurred on the ABC series GREY’S ANATOMY. 

Sarah has worked at numerous American theatre companies including The Roundabout Theatre Company and Second Stage in New York, as well as The Old Globe, The Huntington Theatre Company, and Shakespeare and Co.

In addition to acting, Rafferty lends a hand to many causes dear to her heart. She is devoted to building awareness on the gender-based barriers that affect girls and women worldwide. Sarah decided to take her love for this craft and educate herself by double majoring in English and Theatre at Hamilton College, studying theatre abroad in London and Oxford during her junior year, and, after graduating magna cum laude from Hamilton, she went on to study at Yale Drama school. Sarah Gray Rafferty (born December 6, 1972) is an American television and film actress. She is known mainly for her role as Donna Roberta Paulsen on the USA Network legal drama Suits. Sarah’s character is one of the most formidable minds at their law firm, Pearson Hardman. With her razor sharp wit and knowledge of all the firm’s happenings, Donna is admired and feared by everyone there, and she’s not afraid to wield that power when it suits her needs. The hit show aired for nine season and ended in 2019.

Rafferty grew up as the youngest of four daughters in the Riverside neighborhood of Greenwich, Connecticut. She credits her mother, Mary Lee Rafferty, and her father, Michael Griffin Rafferty Jr., for cultivating her passion for the arts. Her sisters are Maura, Ann, and Connie.
