WHAT: RoseAnne Spradlin is looking for 3-4 dancers, male/female/other, to participate in the creation and performance of her newest, as-yet-untitled work. The new work will be developed in the year between Fall 2017 and Fall 2018 and will premier in Fall 2018 at New York Live Arts. Exact dates TBD, but will be announced this fall. *Please note* Performers who join the cast of the new work must sign a letter of intent to tour with the work in the first year after its premiere.
Also looking for one male performer to learn a role in RoseAnne’s work X, which premiered at the Joyce theatre in Sept 2016. Must be available to rehearse latter half of Dec ‘17 and approximately 20 hrs in Jan ‘18 with two shows at NYLA in Jan 12 & 13, 2018. Must be available for touring at least through Jan 2019. Anna Adams Stark has been living and working in NYC as a dancer, performer, producer, and arts worker for over 15 years. She has performed with artists such as Kim Brandt, Walter Dundervill & iki nakagawa, Ivy Baldwin, Laurie Berg, Levi Gonzalez, Tara Aisha Willis and many others. Anna has also built an extensive career as a production manager and stage manager, working most recently with inDANCE/Hari Krishnan, Antonio Ramos and the Gangbangers, Harlem Stage and Brooklyn Ballet’s The Brooklyn Nutcracker. Anna was a founding producer of RoofTop Dance (2010-2013) and ROVE (2014), and recently produced the Jo Andres: DREAMING OUT LOUD exhibition in 2023 and the Jo Andres: Before Your Eyes exhibition in 2024. Anna held key roles at Dance New Amsterdam (2009-2013) and Movement Research (2014-2023). Recent highlights include performing in Joan Jonas’ Mirror Piece I & II at MoMA (2024), providing directorial support for Jenna Riegel’s new work Varvara (2024), and performing as part of Jennifer Kayle’s Turns Improvisation ensemble (2024). Lily Gelfand (BFA/HTC ’18) – is originally from Youngstown, OH and is a performing apprentice with David Dorfman Dance in NY. While at Ohio University, Lily has had the pleasure of performing in works by David Dorfman, Kyle Abraham, and Joanna Kotze. As a skilled collaborative musician, Lily has accompanied class and composed for Molissa Fenley, Giada Ferrone, David Dorfman, and Davide Di Pretoro.
