Seven years ago, two friends who had already been working on their own for nearly 10 years, decided to join forces and became Soundexile. Ever since then, they've played in some of the best festivals and clubs around Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay and Chile. Oliverio on his own took his music around Europe, while Baunder did his thing around Asia. Their passion is music, and they have very diverse influences, but they share their love for Chicago House and Detroit Techno. They feel the only way to produce long lasting music, is by being themselves and not tying down to genres or fashion. Their musical partnership with Hernan Cattaneo, leads them to a higher attention to detail, provides them with an objective glimpse and constant forward thinking, with complete creative freedom. As a consequence they get support from many of the producers and djs they admire and are influenced by: Laurent Garnier, Danny Tenaglia, Hernan Cattaneo, Ben Watt, Satoshi Tomiie, John Digweed & Sasha among others. Hernán Cattáneo (Spanish pronunciation:[eɾˈnaŋkaˈtaneo]; born 4 March 1965) is an Argentinehouse DJ.[1] He produces electronic music, mostly progressive house.

Musical career

Cattáneo began his professional career playing in the early 1990s for FM Z95, a local radio station largely responsible for the diffusion of electronic dance music in Argentina.[2]

In 1996, he won the residency at Clubland Pacha in Buenos Aires. Sometime during his residency, DJ Paul Oakenfold came to perform at Pacha while on tour. Paul was so impressed with his craft, that he asked Hernan to open for him on his tours globally. This exposed him to an international crowd that he otherwise may not have reached outside of Argentina. Shortly thereafter, he signed to Paul Oakenfold's Perfecto Records, which later led him to become a Cream resident in Liverpool, England and Ibiza, Spain.[3]
