Shalini Singh, popularly called as Pop Shalini, is a singer from Tamil Nadu, India.[1] Born in 1984, she is a singer, performer, blogger, and also a writer. She released an album 'Shalini' when she was only 13. She has sung over 5000 songs in various Indian languages for Indian films and albums. She has sung for the likes of A. R. Rahman, Harris Jayaraj, Illayaraja, Yuvan Shankar Raja, Vidyasagar and many others.
She is also the CEO of Tinsel Rangi Productions.[2] She is married to Balaji and has a son Aadithya. She lives in Chennai. Her husband works as General Manager for a Sweden Based Company.[3]
Early life
Born in Tamil Nadu, she was the only child of her parents, and that’s why she received a lot of affection, and all the attention was focused on her. She studied at Holy Angels Covent School and did music classes called Alpha to Omega. She started her career at the age of 3 years.

Shalini Singh is a professional singer with almost 5000 songs in Indian films and albums in 16 different languages. She is a voracious reader speeding through 30-40 books a year amidst her busy schedule. This was cranked up many notches when she became a mother and would buy truckloads of books to read to her son. She would make up stories and also change the stories that she was reading to her son, thus slowly sparking the interest to write her own stories. She turned writer when she decided to write her very own Musical - 'Adi & Ashi's Indian Adventure', where the main aim was to bring India to children in a fun and unique way.
