Sodiq Abubakar Yusuf (born May 6, 1985) popularly known by his stage nameCDQ, is a Nigerian indigenous rapper, singer and songwriter best known for his single "Nowo E Soke" featuring Wizkid and Masterkraft'sIndomie where he was featured alongside Olamide.[1] While the former is instrumental for launching his career into the Nigerian music industry, the later won him his first career award at the 2016 Nigerian Music Video Awards. Signed to his label No Struggle No Success Entertainment, CDQ's repertoire of music includes rapping in Yoruba language with addition of ad-libs such as the popular "Woss Wobi" which he invented.[2]

CDQ is a Nigerian rapper who has been in the rap game for decade, but didn’t gain ground for many years , for God sake this guy is no longer a kid and if you doubt that i would kindly advise you to look back at his date of birth and get your mind right ogbeni . CDQ was born May 6, 1985 and this guy is not like many Nigerian rappers who are kidult, even Olamide baddo , Wizzy na smally for where him dey jare . CDQ attended university of Lagos and after successfully obtaining a certificate from the well recognised institution in 2001 , he got into music far back as 2002 and that was when he did his bebut concert in school with alot of stars in attendace including the like of late Baracko grin also Dagrin , Jesse Jagz, M.I, Dj Jimmy Jatt and Wizkid . The concert was a huge success and from that point people began to know him in his school and around his neighbourhood,. Early Life and Education
Sadiq was born on May 6, 1985, in Orile, a suburb of Lagos State. He had his primary education in Lagos before proceeding to Kwara State for his secondary education. After returning to Lagos State from Ilorin, where he had finished secondary school, he continued his studies at Lagos State University and earned a B.Sc. in Economics there.
Career
Before beginning to rap in English with M.I., CDQ supported Da Grin as a backup singer before commencing his career in music in 2008. He signed a recording contract with Masterkraft’s General Records in 2013 after winning a rap competition at the weekly Industry Nite in December 2012. In 2014, he made his musical debut with “Indomie,” a song with vocals by Davido on the remix and Olamide on the original. The Masterkraft-produced song helped CDQ acquire recognition for his work and earned him two nominations for the 2015 Nigeria Entertainment Awards as well as a nomination for Best Street-Hop Artist at The Headies.
