Daniela de santos biography

Daniella Dos Santos, Director of Professional Culture for IVC Evidensia, graduated in 2012 from the Royal Veterinary College and has practised clinically in several sites across the south of the UK. She was President of the BVA in 2019-2020, leading the profession through the height of the pandemic. Daniella was the recipient on the RCVS Inspiration Award 2021 for her leadership and became an RCVS Fellow in 2021 for Meritorious Contributions to the Profession. She is a trustee of the animal welfare charity SPANA and the PetPlan Charitable Trust.

Please summarise your journey/biography.

I wanted to be a vet since I was about four or five, but things happen in life and my route wasn’t that straightforward. I grew up in a single-parent family in central London, where no one had been to university.

Daiane Garcia dos Santos (born February 10, 1983) is a retired artistic gymnast. She is the 2003 world champion on the floor apparatus. On doing so, she became the first black gymnast to ever win an event at the World Championships as well as the first Brazilian and South American to win the competition. She represented Brazil at the 2004, 2008, and 2012 Summer Olympics. Widely regarded as the most powerful tumbler of her generation by critics and fellow competitors alike, the gymnast had two eponymous skills added on the FIG code of points after being the first woman to compete them at international championships. Daniela Borelli dos Santos (born 1978), also known as Daniela Cook, is an Australian team handball player. She part of the Australian national team, and participated at the 2011 World Women's Handball Championship in Hungary and Brazil.[2]

Indoor handball career

She was part of the New South Wales state team for the Australian National Handball Championship and contributed to obtaining a gold medal in 2005, 2006 and 2008.

Beach handball career

She was part of one of New South Wales team that won the Australian Championship silver medal in 2010, 2015 and gold medal in 2011, 2014, 2016.
